High Point – Local Academy Council (LAC)

Members of the High Point Local Academy Council (LAC)

Headteacher: Kelly-Leigh Kulyk

I decided to embark on a career in education from a young age, where I observed the challenges my younger brother had within the education sector due to a diagnosis of autism and other learning needs. I wanted to make a difference and ensure I could support pupils with SEND and ensure I provided them with the best schooling experience to equip them for the future. With this in mind, I wanted to make a difference and share my passion, commitment and enthusiasm with others and share the importance of our role for these young people.

I feel very lucky to have been given the opportunity to set up and open High Point Academy for Forward Education Trust. I am proud of what myself and the team have achieved so far on our mission to provide an outstanding educational experience for pupils with a diagnosis of autism at our school. I am excited to see where the next chapter of our journey will lead us.
